Building for the environment.

Meet energy rating requirements with ease in your Akora Home.

Engineered for excellence.

At Akora Homes each of our energy-efficient people-shaped modular homes are created to be in sustainable harmony with their natural surrounds, placed gently on the earth.

Our customers are guaranteed the inclusion of the most innovative products and building technologies to give you an affordable, high performance, low energy, sustainable home. All our prefabricated homes are constructed using Supaloc’s BlueScope TRUECORE® steel frame and truss system, Kingpsan Kooltherm thermally efficient insulation and our termite resistant Weathertex cladding.

Thanks to these high-quality Australian materials we achieve the national 6-star energy rating with ease. Whilst most volume builders are investing in the liveability of their customers homes, we are already ahead of the game.

But what does a 6-star energy rating mean you ask?

Assessed by the Nationwide Housing Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS), the house energy rating is a standard measure of comparison by which one can evaluate the energy efficient of a new or an existing building. The higher the star rating, the less energy needed to heat and cool the home to keep it comfortable.

So, let’s take a deep dive into how we achieve this.

Supaloc Steel Frames:

Your Akora home has been built to stand the test of time with Supaloc’s steel frame and truss system. Made from BlueScope TRUECORE® steel, our frames are not only unmatched in strength and performance, they won’t warp or sag and are 100% termite and borer proof.

Kingspan:

Unlike polystyrenes that melt, soften, and give off thick black smoke, Kingspan Kooltherm rigid insulation boards provide a thinner profile than its competing brands, and offer the most thermally efficient conductivity and thermal performance values. The addition of these boards in your Akora home is the quickest way to high energy efficiency within your home no matter the size.

Weathertex:

Weathertex has a better than zero carbon footprint and is by far the most trusted supplier when it comes to the homeowner and the planet. Made from Australian-owned hardwood, and with no added silica, glues, resins, or formaldehydes, our termite-resistant Weathertex cladding has been tried and tested for the Australian climate.

Akora Homes has been building 6-star rated energy efficient homes long before it was a standard requirement. Begin your new home construction journey with Akora and our impeccable range of inspired designer homes – we can’t wait to build something great with you.
